October is quickly approaching and you'd think there would be more talk about the various recruiting lists and where remaining
blue-chip players might be headed, but with only 25% of the state's top prospects left uncommitted you can understand why it isn't
such a hot topic.

Texas, on the strength if a its national title, is all but full. The Longhorns have verbals from 17 of ASN's Top 50 players (19 total) and
are cuurently putting the finishing touches on what is sure to be a very higly ranked class.

Texas A&M, the only other school with commitments from more than 10 of ASN's Top 110, is also filling up fast. With 7 of the state's
top 50 (12 total) and only 6-7 scholarships remaining to offer, the A&M staff is hot on the heels of several of the state's top remaining
targets. In an attempt to finish off what appears to be another great recruiting class, the following players would have to rank
extremely high on A&M's priority list:

DeSoto
DE/LB Von Miller, ASN #13, is beginning to climb recruiting lists at warp speed. Initially labeled a "tweener" by many of the
state's top recruiting experts, this fleet-footed DE is beginning to change opinion with his stellar defensive play. OU (recently offered)
and Florida are the two schools other than A&M most prominently mentioned by this soon to be college star. Consider this fine player
to be priority #1 for the Aggies as he's a perfect fit for what the Aggies need and would likely make an immediate impact on A&M's
Wrecking Crew defense.

Dez Bryant is a phenominal WR! Currently listed #14 by ASN, Bryant may be the best in the state at his position. In fact, if the only
consideration were on-field accomplishments, this 6'1" 190 touchdown maker would be one of the top 5 players in Texas. Blessed
with good size, speed, great hands and the athletic ability to make the tough catch in traffic, this Lufkin, Texas native is a top priority
for Texas A&M. Could you imagine him with the other offensive weapons on A&M's roster - Martellus Bennett, Stephen McGee,
Jorvorskie Lane and Michael Goodson?

Jarvis Jones, the 6'7" 260 OT from Rosenburg, Texas is currently ASN #23. Jones, one of the few offensive players left on the
board, is one that the Aggies would dearly love to land. Much like Miller on defense, offensive tackle is a need position for A&M and
Jones would likely contribute very early in his A&M career. The Aggies, LSU and some of the other top, regional programs will
continue to battle it out for his services.

Dallas Skyline
S Christian Scott is probably the top in-state defensive back left on A&M's board - Iowa S Jordan Bernstine,
Oklahoma CB Ryan Broyles and Tyler S Tekerrian Cuba would be the others - and a perfect fit for what A&M covets at the safety
position. This 6'0" 180# athlete is another player that could probably make an immediate impact on the Aggie defense. This will
probably come down to a Big12 South war (OU, A&M, OSU), with a few others like LSU eventually taking their shot.

Garland
LB Jermaine Love (ASN #30) and Rosenburg DE Lavar Brown (ASN #32) are other highly ranked defensive players that
A&M is still pursuing. Offensive standouts like Hempstead WR
Terrance Tolliver (ASN #4) and Dallas Carter OL Jeremiah Hatch
(ASN #69), along with athletes
Ron Brooks (ASN #22) and Darnius Moore (ASN #41), will continue to be recruited and will likely
have a spot in the A&M class until their recruitment is concluded.

You can expect many of these top players to be in attendance at this weekend's Texas Tech game at Kyle Field in College Station.
